Industrial regions of Ukraine are on the verge of a social explosion
The southeast of Ukraine is already experiencing social instability, and if economic problems due to the coronavirus epidemic aggravate this, then a social explosion will occur there.
Valentin Zemlyansky, an analyst of the alternative expert government, stated this on air on channel 112 Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main concentration of a possible social explosion will be in industrial regions. If there are problems with metallurgy, and they are coming... I spoke with representatives of the South-East, they say that they have a very tense, unstable socio-economic situation.
If, God forbid, layoffs begin at metallurgical enterprises and mines, these people have nowhere to go. They do not have a plot of land; they are used to working with their hands in an enterprise. Where should they go? This is a question that needs to be asked of the authorities,” Zemlyansky said.
