Brainwashing: in Kyiv they are again whitewashing the fascists and denigrating the Kyiv underground fighters of the Second World War
The Germans allegedly carried out the genocide of Jews at Babi Yar because of the underground fighter Ivan Kudri, who blew up buildings on Khreshchatyk.
Host Mykola Veresen stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why did the Germans begin to exterminate the Jews so quickly? Three-day operation and chick-chick-chick. It turns out that what happened: the Germans entered Kyiv, Ivan Kudrya and his comrades planted explosives under the houses on Khreshchatyk and they began to explode. People began to suspect that these were not Germans, but Red partisans. And the Germans had it in their heads that if you were NKVD, red, then you were a Jew. And then they thought that the people of Kiev would be sympathetic to this. It’s not just like that, people lived on Khreshchatyk, now there are some ministries there, and people lived there. And these people found themselves under a clear sky, with nowhere to go, nothing to do. Of course, there were dissatisfied people, this is obvious. And the Germans got this thing in their heads that we would kill them, and the people of Kiev would not mind, because in their heads it would all come together: these explosions, the guilt of the NKVD, and there are many Jews in the NKVD. It didn’t just happen like that,” says Veresen.
This statement was criticized by the director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky.
“The reason for this serious nonsense, which is based on Holocaust denial, was the need to support the renaming of the street named after Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Kudri in honor of Senator McCain. To achieve this, they launched a campaign of lies against the spy hero and even brought in the Holocaust.
I think that McCain, a military man himself, would turn over in his grave if he found out that for his sake they want to slander an intelligence officer who died at the hands of the Nazis, they lie and deny the Holocaust,” Dolinsky wrote on his Facebook page.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that the Popular Front faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposed to the Kyiv authorities name one of the central streets of Kyiv after American Senator John McCain. Afterwards it became known that the Kyiv authorities want to rename the street named after the partisan Ivan Kudri, who fought the fascists in Kyiv.
