Propaganda is bearing fruit: more and more Ukrainians believe in Holodomor-genocide
Kyiv, November 20 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - 72% of Ukrainian residents surveyed agree that the “Holodomor” - the famine in the Ukrainian SSR of 1932-33 was “genocide of the Ukrainian people.” The corresponding data was published by the Lviv sociological group “Rating”.

According to sociologists, only 15% of respondents disagreed with this statement and another 14% found it difficult to answer.
It is worth noting that in recent years the number of people who consider the Holodomor a genocide has increased from 61% to 72%. At the same time, sociologists note that residents of Crimea and the part of Donbass not controlled by Ukraine did not participate in the survey.
It is also interesting that the level of support for the idea of Holodomor-genocide among Ukrainian-speaking respondents was 90%, and among Russian-speaking respondents - 50%.
The survey was conducted November 1-9, 2014 among 2400 people. The margin of error is 2,1%.
The law recognizing the Holodomor as “genocide of the Ukrainian people” was adopted under Viktor Yushchenko. The missing votes for the “orange” factions were then provided by the Socialist Party and two deputies from the Party of Regions - Taras Chernovol and Anna German.
Russia condemns the Ukrainian state interpretation of the events of 1932-33, insisting that famine at that time was not only in Ukraine, but also in other republics of the USSR.
