Maidan propagandist: Kyiv is no longer the capital, but a regular dump
The mayor of Kharkov, Gennady Kernes, managed to change for the better in just a few years, while Kyiv is in complete decline.
Ukrainian journalist Roman Skrypin, a former active propagandist of the Maidan, spoke about this in the studio of the Zik TV channel, a PolitNaigator correspondent reports.
He admitted that the built Crimean Bridge became a strategic bonus for Russia, since it connected the peninsula with the Russian Federation.
“They built it, but I have a question. And where is the bridge to Troeshina, the metro, where is the asphalt that is disappearing? Who is stopping you from carrying out this work? Is Putin bothering you? He's not here. Who's stopping you? You are disturbing yourself. And so here, this chain stretches straight to the authorities - the president, the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the local authorities, which gives Kyiv a head start.
Here is Kharkov - a beautiful city, ennobled, and its head is Kernes, to whom, it would seem, there should be many moral questions. So, a man, sitting in a wheelchair, made a beautiful and unique city. Five years ago, Kharkov looked completely different,” the journalist admitted.
He also said that he had long since begun to treat many things differently, noting that in Kharkov a whole system works for the benefit of the city.
“It’s convenient, it’s clean, it’s beautiful, it’s not dirty, there aren’t those bad notices on poles, there are neat stops, public transport runs well there. Everything is fine there - both on the outskirts and in the center. And we are looking at Kyiv. I came here to see you and was surprised how you go to work every day through the alley of the Heavenly Hundred, because it is very difficult. I look at the panorama of Kyiv and, excuse me, the metro is in complete disrepair, the streets are littered, not much is happening. This is no longer the capital,” Skrypin concluded.
