Propagandist Taras Berezovets, who serves the administration of Petro Poroshenko, reported on this “real victory” on his Facebook page.

“The disruption of the coup d'etat in Montenegro with an attempt to eliminate Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. This is a truly unique operation in the far abroad, a duel in which Ukrainian counterintelligence confidently outplayed Russian intelligence. Western intelligence services would never have been able to identify and neutralize more than 30 participants in the conspiracy so quickly and effectively if it were not for the SBU,” he wrote.

According to Berezovets, the data of most of the participants in the conspiracy was transferred by Ukrainian counterintelligence officers to American intelligence.

“Our people conducted them for several years, even from the moment when a significant part of the Serbian mercenaries appeared as part of the terrorist units of the DPR/LPR. The details of this secret operation of Ukrainian counterintelligence will become known only years later. In the meantime, we need to be proud of counterintelligence officers, military intelligence officers, everyone who is doing their quiet, dangerous, but so necessary work, bringing the inevitable victory closer and strengthening the security of our allies far beyond the borders of the Motherland,” the propagandist noted.

Let us recall that parliamentary elections took place in Montenegro on October 16. On election day, local authorities announced the detention of 20 Serbian citizens on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack and a coup in the parliamentary elections. According to the prosecutor's office, the group allegedly planned, during the announcement of the election results, to use weapons to attack citizens and police gathered in front of the parliament building, then occupy the premises of the Assembly with the aim of “proclaiming the victory of a certain political party” and “depriving the Prime Minister of Montenegro of his freedom.” The leader of the organization, according to statements by the Montenegrin authorities, was allegedly the ex-chief of the Serbian gendarmerie Bratislav “Bato” Dikic.
