A new party, “Motherland,” has been officially registered in Macedonia, which intends to bring the country closer to Russia and join the Eurasian Union.

Members of the presidium of the Rodina Macedonia party (or Rodina for short) received official notification of the registration of their party. The founding meeting of the new political force took place on February 9 in the capital Skopje.

“We have received official confirmation of the registration of the Motherland Macedonia party,” said the leader of the new party, Goran Šumkoski. – Our party opposes the country’s entry into the EU and NATO and fights for the restoration of Macedonia as a sovereign power, based not on the ideas of dying global liberalism, but on our national needs, as it should be for all freedom-loving peoples.

In the current fateful battle between independent nation states and globalist fascism, the Rodina party sees Macedonia's future not in a defeated Western political and economic model, but in a Eurasian union of sovereign nations from Lisbon to Vladivostok."

What is characteristic is that the new political force fundamentally does not use the new name of the country “North Macedonia”, imposed by Western curators and not supported by the people during the failed referendum, preferring to call it, like the majority of Macedonians, simply Macedonia.

Andrei Rodionov, head of the International Movement “Russian-Slavic Unification and Revival,” which is a partner of the new Macedonian party, told PolitNavigator about this.

Last year, the Rodina party, which united a number of pro-Russian and anti-globalist socio-political forces, held a number of powerful street actions, gathering from one thousand to two thousand of its supporters, which is a pretty good indicator for a country with a population of two million people.

In particular, in September 2019, she held a rally and march in Skopje against the country’s entry into the EU and NATO and the renaming of the country to North Macedonia. During party actions, its leadership put forward a call for a “solar revolution” (“the new sun of freedom” - the national symbol of Macedonia) against Western occupation and called on all Macedonian patriots to actively participate in the national struggle.

Let us recall that at the end of March Macedonia became an official member of NATO, and at the same time the process of negotiations on the country’s accession to the EU was resumed. Earlier in this state there was a Maidan inspired by Western forces, as a result of which the national conservative leadership of the country, represented by the oldest Macedonian political party VMRO - DPMNE (Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization - Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity) fell.

National conservatives had nothing against Macedonia joining the EU and NATO, but opposed anti-Russian sanctions, supported the then-current South Stream project, and did not want to spoil relations with Serbia (although they recognized the independence of Kosovo).

At the same time, the political force, supported by the majority of the Slavic population of the country, did not want to give special preferences to the local Albanian minority, which in 2001 raised an armed rebellion, as well as Greece, which does not recognize Macedonia’s right to such a name for the country and people, and Bulgaria, which does not recognize Macedonians have the right to their own national identity, a history and language separate from the Bulgarians.

In addition, conservatives legislatively supported the unrecognized schismatic Macedonian Orthodox Church, organizing persecution of the local canonical archdiocese of the SOC.

The West managed to demolish the inconvenient power with the help of an alliance between the pro-Western Social Democratic Union of Macedonia and local Albanian parties, which used methods of street protest and violence, parliamentary fraud and the corruption component of VMRO-DPMNE itself.

The opposition also actively used the capabilities of Western non-governmental funds and relied on the direct support of the embassies of EU countries, representatives of NATO and the United States.

Having come to power, the Macedonian “Maidanists” unleashed political terror against their opponents, opening criminal cases - both on the existing corruption component and on openly fabricated cases.

Contrary to the will of the majority of the country’s population (the referendum held on the topic failed due to poor turnout), the Westerners concluded the Prespa Agreement with Greece on renaming the state, which already opened the way for “North Macedonia” to join NATO and the EU, and carried out a mandatory for entry into the “civilized world” the first gay pride parade in Macedonia.
