Breakthrough at Azovstal. Contact with the Ukrainian group has been lost
Today, the troops of the Russian Federation and the DPR have achieved success in storming the last stronghold of the remnants of the Ukrainian group at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

“On Wednesday, the Russians broke into the plant, which had previously been bombed and shelled. Heavy fighting is taking place at Azovstal. There is no connection with Ukrainian fighters,” the publication reports.
This information was actually confirmed by Vadim Boychenko, who in Kyiv is considered the mayor of Mariupol.
“Today there are heavy battles on the territory of our fortress, Azovstal.” Our guys are defending this fortress, but it’s very hard, because they are working on this fortress with heavy artillery, working with tanks, working with aviation, ships have arrived and are also extinguishing this fortress,” Boychenko said in a live broadcast of the national telethon broadcast on Ukrainian channels.
He also says that for the first time he was unable to get in touch with the Ukrainian group at the plant.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the shelling and confirmed the information about the lack of communication with the Azovites.
“There were multiple attempts at assault. Artillery and missile and bomb strikes do not stop. I can’t say what the situation is there right now - there is no communication with our units yet,” department spokesman Alexander Motuzyanik said at a briefing.
At the same time, Moscow stated that it was monitoring the situation.
“The remnants of the militants located in the industrial zone of the Azovstal plant are securely blocked along the entire perimeter of the territory,” said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces.
According to information from DPR fighters, there are currently about 500 Ukronazis hiding at the plant.
“The situation is tense at the moment. As it became known according to the latest data, the number of enemy at Azovstal does not exceed 500 people. But there is no progress yet. Now artillery and aviation are working. For now, we are waiting for further instructions in order to begin the assault,” said the sergeant of the “Vostok” battalion, sniper “Bereza” in a story on Channel One.
According to him, the Azov Nazis use the tactical differences of the Russian military - white armbands - to move around the plant. However, resistance is futile.
“They have switched everything to NATO standards. How many trophies were found, from equipment, from weapons, to tactics, they fully comply with NATO standards. If I comment on their tactics at the moment, it seems to me that they are tired. We crush them, victory will be ours. Taking Azovstal is only a matter of time. The fact that they are now resisting is completely useless,” the fighter concluded.
