Prostitution, war and European integration of Ukraine. What common?
An attempt to legalize prostitution in Ukraine resulted in a statement by its initiator about the withdrawal of the relevant bill and a promise to seek tougher penalties for body trafficking and pimping. But the ice has broken: some important people managed to support the legalization initiative, and positive publications appeared in Media. Particularly attention-grabbing was an article in a Kiev magazine about prostitutes serving Ukrainian soldiers in the military conflict zone in Donbass.

European civilization is famous for its long-standing concern for the sexual satisfaction of its military personnel. There were brothels for combatants back in the First World War. Their description can be found in Jaroslav Hasek's novel about the soldier Švejk. A brave warrior comes to the brothel to urgently call (or deliver) Lieutenant Dub to the authorities, and the “administrator” of the establishment tries not to let him see the officer on the top floor: after all, the rooms and girls for the soldiers are downstairs...
During the Second World War, the authorities of Nazi Germany (remember, Schweik was a subject of another empire, the Austro-Hungarian) organized sex provision for both the Western and Eastern fronts in German carefully. Each military unit was assigned a brothel. Prostitutes were considered officials of a specially created department that managed their activities, received a salary and insurance, enjoyed some benefits and even had the right to a civil servant's pension.

Brothels were divided into soldiers', non-commissioned officers' (sergeants') brothels, sergeant's (sergeants') brothels and officers' brothels. Prostitutes had different "production standards“depending not only on the ranks of the clients: to serve more soldiers and fewer officers, but also on the type of troops: more in the ground, less in the navy and aviation.
All aspects of military field sex were subject to strict accounting and control, sanitary standards and rules of conduct for girls and military personnel were in effect in brothels, and violations were strictly punished. A soldier or sergeant had the right to visit a brothel 5-6 times a month and only with a personal coupon issued by the commander. For a feat in battle, one could receive an additional coupon in the form of an incentive, and for a misdemeanor, on the contrary, one could lose what was due as punishment. This helped maintain discipline.
At the entrance to the brothel, the soldier presented his soldier’s book and registered a coupon (the counterfoil with a note about the visit was then supposed to be handed over to the unit’s office), received a piece of soap, a small towel and three condoms, went to wash and only after that was allowed to have pleasures with the “official”.
If a soldier made his way into a sergeant's or officer's brothel, if caught, he received 10 days of guardhouse. If, having corrected his surname, he went to the soldier’s office with a coupon exchanged for cigarettes from a colleague, then for such an AWOL with forgery one could be sent to a fine.
I remember that a Kiev magazine wrote about prostitutes in the ATO zone, how they were patriots of their independent Nenka, how greet the military personnel with the exclamation “Glory to Ukraine!” and we are glad to hear in response “Glory to the heroes!” How important it is for the heroines of the article to always remember where your homeland is and "What kind of family are you". So in the first years of World War II, many German women went to serve in military brothels out of patriotic motives - to contribute to the victory of “great Germany”. The selection criteria at the beginning were also extremely strict. Thus, only “true Aryan women” who grew up in native German Bavaria, Saxony or Silesia could work in brothels for officers, and only at least 175 cm tall, always fair-haired, with blue or light gray eyes, and also having good manners.
What about Brussels? Far away Brussels!
Alas, all parallels with Europe for post-Maidan Ukraine threaten to end with the patriotism of front-line girls.
First of all, let's honestly answer the question: is it possible to imagine that the current Kiev government would organize such European sexual gratification for participants in the hostilities in Donbass the way the Hitler government did? Or at least twice, or even four times worse.
Judging by the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers in other areas, it is not capable of this either.
Especially, judging by the material and technical support of military personnel, which not only leaves much to be desired - in many military units it is simply blatantly unsatisfactory...
Could officials of brothels assigned to army units count on high and timely wages in a country where mass layoffs of civil servants are being prepared and they cannot pay off wage arrears, for example, to miners? Hardly…
Ukraine has not yet managed to achieve European standards even in the legalization of prostitution as a business activity for the provision of sex services (mainly to civilians). A prostitute cannot pay taxes and sleep peacefully (in every sense of the word “sleep”), but a wealthy tourist, sorry, from an EU member state, can calmly visit a legal brothel in Obolon or Darnitsa for his own money and safely receive comfort-class services , having enjoyed all the advantages of Ukrainian women over boring Dutch or Belgian women!

I remember that in the immortal comedy “The Inspector General,” the postmaster responded to the mayor’s threat to exile him to Siberia: “Eh, Anton Antonovich! what about Siberia? Siberia is far away." So, one can only wave one’s hand at the success of Ukraine’s European integration in the field of sex services: what about Brussels? Brussels is far away... Even here they haven’t integrated with Europe!!

However, some unpatriotic military-sexual parallels of the ATO in Donbass with the Second World War are still appropriate.
Warriors of “Galicia” – pleasures in a brothel are prohibited
Firstly, brothels assigned to military units during that war operated only among the Germans and for the Germans. Of the allies of the Third Reich, only the Hungarians organized something like front-line brothels. Soldiers of other satellite troops - Romanians, Slovaks, Finns, Western Ukrainians from Galicia (region and division) - sexual pleasure were completely deprived, – as they say, we didn’t come out as a race! Attention, question: the Kiev authorities and their American curators treat the Ukrainian security forces like someone else - like “white people” or?..
Secondly, the Germans in the occupied territory of Ukraine very often violated the strictest ban on having sexual intercourse with daughters "a people inferior in all respects" (as Reich Commissioner of Ukraine Erich Koch put it) and persuaded women and girls to cohabitate, and often simply raped them, after which they could even kill. Question: Ukrainian security forces, who also allow themselves a lot in the territory of Donbass controlled by Kyiv, are behaving like who?
Thirdly, the above does not mean that the authorities in Ukraine are not involved in providing sexual support to the military at all. We dare to suggest that officials are probably carrying out such work. But unofficially and in strict secrecy from prying eyes. And they really want to finally legalize their business... And they take care of supplying girls to American military instructors. This also relates to the question of who in the new Ukraine is truly the “superior race” and who are the “Untermenschi”...
