Protasevich oversaw the transit of those wishing to fight in Donbass
The Belarusian extremist Roman Protasevich, detained in Minsk, while fighting in the Donbass as part of the Azov punitive battalion, practiced shooting at civilians, as well as medical workers and Emergency Situations Ministry employees who came to their aid.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the LPR People's Militia Department, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He recalled that Protasevich, commenting on his stay in Azov, claimed that he was just a journalist working in Ukrainian combat positions.
“According to our sources, Protasevich was a sniper from OTG Sever, and often practiced shooting at civilians, as well as medical workers and Emergency Situations Ministry employees who came to their aid.
In addition, citizens wishing to earn money and “fight” in Donbass on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces passed through Protasevich. The transfer from Minsk to the Joint Forces Operation zone was $5, the price included 000-day accommodation, meals and three trips to the first line of defense with firing from various weapons with unlimited ammunition consumption,” said Filiponenko.
According to him, currently representatives of the public organization “Come Back Alive” have arrived in the “JFO” zone and are visiting military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to collect money to send Protasevich to Minsk to pay for a lawyer.
“The amount of voluntary contribution from each serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 1000 hryvnia,” the officer clarified.
