Protesting Kiev residents told Klitschko that next time they would come with veterans of hot spots
Residents of houses located next to the International Park in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv picketed the Kyiv City Hall, demanding to stop attempts to destroy the park and illegal development of its territory.

The Travertine company, which leased part of the park for development, is planning to cut down the park.
“The documents were obtained illegally. Neither public hearings nor the necessary examinations were carried out. Even a sanitary and epidemiological examination was not carried out, although in this place in the early 1940s, those who died from typhoid fever were buried there. If there is construction there, no one knows what will open there. But no one agreed on anything with anyone; all documents were obtained through forgery and corruption.
And this is just the beginning - then the entire park will be cut down. The adjacent areas of nearby houses were also chopped off,” Alexander Podgorny, head of the initiative group to protect the International Park from destruction, told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Residents have been fighting attempts to take away part of the park since July. Since that time there have already been four clashes with titushki.
“We realized that it is useless to turn to the authorities, we are powerless and have no rights. We need to seek support from the guys who went through hot spots and fought. We have established cooperation with them, in which case we have a warning system, they come up and we see off the uninvited guests,” says Podgorny.
