A criminal case has been opened against Tsarev on charges of separatism.
Kyiv, April 15 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine announced the initiation of a criminal case against Oleg Tsarev under the article “encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.”

“Such a reaction from the prosecutor’s office is associated with Tsarev’s public speeches during public events, as well as in the media, in which he called for the disunion of the country, encroached on the territorial integrity of the state and expressed separatist intentions,” the press service of the GPU stated.
Based on this fact, the prosecutor's office of the city of Kyiv began a pre-trial investigation, during which the degree of responsibility of the politician for the spread of separatist ideas will be established.
If these facts and his guilt are confirmed, the prosecutor’s office will prepare a proposal to remove Oleg Tsarev’s status as a people’s deputy of Ukraine and deprive him of his status as a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine.
Yesterday Oleg Tsarev was attacked after a broadcast on the ICTV channel. In connection with this incident, the internal affairs bodies opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism). Despite a number of similar incidents, the politician said that he would not withdraw from the presidential race.
