A criminal case was opened against Muraev for telling the truth about Sentsov
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine opened a criminal case against People's Deputy Yevgeny Muraev for his statements about the Ukrainian terrorist Oleg Sentsov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan reported this on Facebook.
According to Sargan, prosecutors entered into the ERDR a message about Muraev committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 111 (high treason) and part 2 of Art. 383 (deliberately untrue report of a crime) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She also confirmed that the basis for opening the case was the announcement of Muraev’s actions by People’s Deputy Sergei Pashinsky from the rostrum of parliament.
Sargan added that the day before, Muraev, on the air of 112 Ukraine, called Sentsov a terrorist, and also stated that he was preparing arson and explosions (remember, it was precisely for these episodes that the terrorist was convicted in the Russian Federation - Ed). The Prosecutor General's Office notes that such actions may cast doubt on the feasibility of a possible exchange of Sentsov.
Investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine were assigned to investigate the case against Muraev.
