“The diplomacy of a 300-year-old empire is against us” – SBU general
Ukraine cannot provide the work of its representatives at the negotiations in Minsk - they work there as volunteers, providing their own travel.
The former head of the SBU, Igor Smeshko, said this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the representative of Ukraine Yevgeny Marchuk is “a volunteer who single-handedly resists three centuries of Russian diplomacy.”
“He holds a bridgehead against a consolidated attack. There are dozens of specialists there who serve his opponents from the Russian Federation. And he, as a volunteer, is the only one holding it back. He alone stands against the legion. He provides for himself. The volunteer himself provides for himself and maintains this platform... In fact, even our volunteers, to a certain extent, work in the foreign policy direction, holding back a powerful, professional, three-hundred-year-old empire - and the entire imperial system of diplomacy works against us,” Smeshko said.
