They are raising an uprising against us - pro-Western Prime Minister of Bulgaria

Protests against the pro-Western government of Bulgaria have not subsided for the 33rd day, but Prime Minister Boyko Borisov promised that he would not use force against the protesters.

At the same time, supporters of the Cabinet began collecting signatures against President Rumen Radev, who supports the opposition.

“We are protesting against our colleague Lukashenko,” said one of the inhabitants of the Bulgarian capital in his speech this evening, where in the improvised opposition “Hyde Park” a microphone was given to anyone who wanted it. – In Sofia, the root of authoritarianism is the legacy of the USSR and totalitarianism. Today they are demanding the resignation of all dictators – Lukashenko, Putin and Borisov and all their derivatives!”

In turn, one of the leaders of the non-systemic protest, a representative of the so-called “Poisonous Trio”, PR man Arman Babikyan, addressing the audience also appealed to foreign experience:

“You woke up all of Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarians abroad. But look, in Lebanon, only after two days of protests by thousands, and not tens of thousands like here, people, the government resigned. And Lebanon is not part of the EU. And what comes out of this? In Lebanon, the rulers are more European!” said the social activist, hinting at the pro-Western orientation of Borisov and his party “Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria” (GERB).

Protesters again blocked key transport junctions in Sofia (in addition to the capital, large protests took place in other cities, such as Varna and Veliko Tarnovo), staged a concert on the Orloov Bridge and lit torches.

In turn, supporters of Boyko Borisov and his regime launched a petition for the resignation of the main rival of the pro-Western prime minister, socialist Rumen Radev, in the text of which they called him a “pro-Kremlin provocateur.”

“He calls people to revolt. “He calls for a foreign policy that distances itself from the EU and leading NATO partners and brings it closer to undemocratic regimes, which is clearly contrary to national interests,” says the text of the petition, which has currently collected about 2 signatures.

Borisov himself spoke out against Radev’s resignation:

“Everyone wants someone to resign! I also want Radev’s resignation... but such issues are decided in elections!,” said the Bulgarian prime minister, speaking with the press while getting acquainted with the extinguishing of forest fires in Haskovo. – They (protesters – ed.) break, destroy, they cannot be removed without the use of force. But we will not allow tension and clashes, so we, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will not do anything with these blockades (of road junctions - ed.).

I hope for common sense. Because you see that there are protests everywhere, and you see that force is used everywhere - in the USA, Germany, Israel. But I've always admired generals who return healthy children to their mothers, and I won't let anyone get hurt. No matter what, we will try to establish dialogue. We don't want anyone to get hurt, not even the police."

It is characteristic that Borisov himself began to play Gandhi after, during the recent conference of his GERB party, the titushki guarding the event provoked and attacked at the protesters and journalists picketing the event, which caused a huge public outcry.
