A statement was filed against Poroshenko about his key crime
Lawyer Andrei Portnov, who held the position of deputy head of his administration under President Viktor Yanukovych, filed a statement on Thursday morning with the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), accusing former President Petro Poroshenko of laundering gigantic amounts of funds and tax evasion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Portnov reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Friends, in the morning we registered a statement with the State Bureau of Investigation about Poroshenko laundering funds stolen from the army through offshore transactions. “For several weeks we have been waiting for the SBI to submit a petition to the court to seize all property belonging to Poroshenko,” he wrote.
As Portnov previously explained, we are talking about money laundering and tax evasion at Kuzna na Rybalsky (a shipbuilding enterprise in Kyiv, which was owned by the ex-president of Ukraine - Ed.). According to him, “Poroshenko legalized $300 million in income through offshore companies, concluding a non-existent deal using funds stolen from the Ukrainian army.”

Also, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) of Ukraine opened a criminal case against the former president and a number of senior officials for abuse of power. The corresponding statement indicates that, with the coordination of Poroshenko, key positions were distributed in the boards and supervisory board of the Ukrainian electricity producer Centrenergo with the aim of stealing funds from the company, a controlling stake in which belongs to the state.
