Pro-Ukrainian agents in the Luhansk region were afraid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ hasty withdrawal from their positions
The fires raging in the Lugansk region forced the Ukrainian military to abandon their positions on the demarcation line and move deeper into the territory they occupied.
Ukrainian political analyst Maria Zolkina, who is in Stanitsa Luganskaya, stated this on air on the UrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Zolkina, this worries local Svidomo who support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian military, due to the fires, were forced to abandon their positions in several places. Their positions are also located directly on the demarcation line. Somewhere in the forests, somewhere near populated areas. That is, they are also equipped, they have positions directly, and in connection with these fires, in several places the military was forced to leave their equipped positions and retreat.
Therefore, I heard from local pro-Ukrainian volunteers the idea that they are afraid that these terrible fires may also force the military to change their locations, and this, in turn, will increase the presence of the so-called “gray zone”, uncontrolled by anyone, which will be artificially created, because this is burnt land and you can have even more territorial space at your disposal for representatives of illegal armed groups to “visit” the territory controlled by Ukraine. That is, they are afraid of this too,” Zolkina said.
