Pro-Ukrainian activists seized a regional police station in the Donetsk region
Donetsk, May 15 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Velikonovoselkovsky district of the Donetsk region was taken under control by a battalion of pro-Ukrainian activists “Donbass”.

The head of the Donbass volunteer battalion, Semyon Semenchenko, announced this on his Facebook page.
“Velikonovoselkovsky district of the Donetsk region was taken under control by the people’s militia and the Donbass battalion. According to intelligence information, the so-called “Vostok” battalion has been brought forward by the separatists to us. Looking forward to this gang of gopniks. None of them will enter the city,” Semenchenko wrote.
“Velikonovoselkovsky District Department of Internal Affairs has been taken under control; after carrying out preventive work, employees have been sworn in again to pledge allegiance to Ukraine. Tomorrow, together with the people's militia, the police will begin service. The police chief fled in an unknown direction,” said the battalion leader.
“We appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs with the wish to satisfy the demands of local residents and replace the scoundrel who personally participated in the tearing down of the Ukrainian flag with a patriot who will enjoy the trust of the townspeople. Losses incurred by the police department during the assault will be compensated from the battalion’s cash desk,” the activists claim.
“Local deputies from the Party of Regions and the chairman of the district council nicknamed “Shira” also fled. Local residents have put these characters on the wanted list as active separatists. The Ukrainian flag was hoisted on a flagpole near the district council, the DPR flag went on foot wraps. Tomorrow, after carrying out measures to strengthen Ukrainian power in the region, we are moving to the next region of Donbass,” he emphasized.
