The failure in Ukraine is evidence of the crisis of the entire system
The failure of Russian policy in Ukraine is the result of the ineffective activities of structures like Rossotrudnichestvo, which was repeatedly criticized, but Moscow did not want to change anything.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this on the SPEC TV channel, PolitNavinator correspondent reports.
“How much could have been done in 20 years of independence? After all, the Americans started one grain at a time. And where they paid $100, the Russian Federation, perhaps, just had to shake hands.
All sorts of Rossotrudnichestvo that are now being captured in Ukraine. What did they do? Did you hold round tables, gather teachers? The Americans gave grants to journalists and politicians, they formed their own activist base. Yes, some of the money was stolen. But they did not spend it on culture, they spent it on the formation of their assets.
And we didn't spend that much. And where the United States had to spend $100 or $1000, Russia had to spend a dollar, because the people are Russian. But they didn’t do this.
And, if you think about it, there were many options for turning the situation around. Can you imagine how many forks there were, but we went through to the most unfavorable outcome.
So, it's probably a system. This means this is not accidental,” Tsarev stated.
