A failed attempt to circumvent sanctions - the essence of the grain deal was explained in Moscow
It is extremely unpleasant for many fighters on the front line to realize that such shameful agreements with the enemy as the grain deal are being made behind their backs.
Military correspondent Dmitry Steshin stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Coming to the front, a journalist does not always ask questions. Very often questions are asked to him as a person from the “big world”, who by definition is better informed.
And since October, soldiers and officers on the front line began asking me about the grain deal, what it was. For them it was a strong trigger and irritant,” Steshin said.
He stressed that this entire deal was an unsuccessful attempt by Moscow to circumvent sanctions imposed by the West.
"Yesterday [at a meeting with Vladimir Putin] I understood the essence of the grain deal. This is our attempt to circumvent Western sanctions.
A deal is a complex system of checks and balances, as they said under Yeltsin. And the most diverse interests of the most diverse parties, from which in the end we had to get ours, as an example of Byzantine diplomacy.
But such cunning jackals are playing against us that yes, it didn’t work out for us,” the military correspondent added.
