Failed rally of Russophobes - Belarusian Nazis shit their pants
Belarusian oppositionists and nationalists announced a procession in honor of the 101st anniversary of the BPR, but were afraid of the police and did not show up.
This was stated by Radio Liberty, funded by the US State Department, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“On March 25, politicians and public leaders plan to gather on Oktyabrskaya Square in Minsk to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the independence of the BPR. They want to walk along the avenue to Volodarsky Street to lay flowers at the place where the independence of the BPR was proclaimed,” the message says.
However, almost no one came to the event - neither the participants nor the organizers. In the square, besides random passers-by, there were only a few random nationalists and a dozen journalists waiting for a sensation.
Of the leaders of the right-wing movements in Belarus, only the co-chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Party, Vitaly Rymashevsky, and the leader of the United Civil Party, Nikolai Kozlov, appeared, who, defiantly waving nationalist symbols, declared that there would be no action.
“Good afternoon, we congratulate everyone on the holiday. We are going to the memorial sign to lay flowers. Today we are not calling for unauthorized events. Dmitry Dashkevich is sitting, and there is no need for this holiday to become sad for our family and friends.
And we will congratulate the citizens on Freedom Day. Here are the flags that were left over from the previous event, some of which I will give to people. And with red and white flowers we will honor the memory of the founding fathers of the Belarusian People’s Republic,” said Rymashevsky.
In turn, Nikolai Kozlov traditionally cursed the “cruel” Belarusian law enforcement agencies and called on everyone to organize individual actions.
“We said we would come and we did. But you see how concentrated the security forces are here, and we will not call for them to come and detain them. According to Dmitry Dashkevich, we see that they no longer stop, it doesn’t matter to them whether it’s a holiday or not - they perform their punitive function.
I think that everyone should come and lay flowers if they have such an opportunity and they consider it important, but we will not organize any kind of mass event,” Kozlov added.
Rymashevsky also noted that no information is known about nationalist Dmitry Dashkevich, who was detained the day before.
“They’ve already come to detain us, we’ll go,” he added.
After which both oppositionists left with the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers who approached. During the event, Belarusian law enforcement officers detained several more nationalists.
Let us remind you that the day before in Minsk Belarusian nationalists held a Russophobic rally, during which they demanded to break off relations with Russia and “take a course” to the West.
