The check showed: the APU equipment is not ready for winter
An inspection by the headquarters commission of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades in the Joint Forces Operation zone showed that the majority of weapons and military equipment were not ready for the winter period of operation.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“LPR intelligence established the arrival on October 29 of one of the units of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade in the area of the settlement of Shchastya of the brigade headquarters commission to check the quality of the transfer of weapons and military equipment for the winter period of operation. The test results for the unit commander are disappointing. It turned out that 70% of the existing equipment was not involved in seasonal maintenance, another 13% of the equipment is inoperable,” said Andrey Marochko.
He noted that the reason for such a deplorable state of technology was the traditional theft in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“At the same time, fuel and lubricants for all equipment were received by financially responsible persons and written off in accordance with the established procedure for maintenance. Based on the results of the inspection, an investigation has been launched in the unit, and the arrival of employees of the military prosecutor’s office is expected,” the lieutenant colonel added.
