Provocations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces put the truce at risk - Pushilin
The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass continue to violate the ceasefire and commit provocations aimed at strengthening and advancing their positions deeper into Donbass.
This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The actions of the Ukrainian side on the contact line jeopardize the ceasefire. Assessing the situation, it can be argued that Ukraine is trying to use the package of additional measures agreed upon and signed with such difficulty to strengthen and control the indefinite silence regime in force since July 21, 2019, for completely different purposes.
Conducting engineering reconnaissance in the area of the Shumy settlement, digging trenches and drone launch - only part of the provocative actions they carry out. The ultimate goal is to promote and strengthen their positions through veiled methods, which clearly demonstrates non-peaceful intentions,” said the head of state.
Pushilin called on the leadership of the OSCE and the guarantor countries to take all possible measures and ways of influencing Kyiv in order to prevent further violations by the Ukrainian army of the ban on offensive actions to be stopped.
“We do not intend to put the lives and health of our citizens at risk. Units of the People’s Militia of the DPR fully comply with additional measures to monitor the truce, but are ready to respond at any time in order to protect the population of the Republic,” the head of the DPR concluded.
Let us remind you that on the eve of the Ukrainian Armed Forces mortar fire damaged water supply in DPR, which almost provoked a humanitarian catastrophe in Regina.
