Provocation on the central channel triggers irreversible processes in Georgia - Kandelaki
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will soon lose the Rustavi 2 TV channel he controls, so insult live Russian President Vladimir Putin and his family became the farewell prank of the Georgian-Ukrainian provocateur.
Journalist and TV presenter Tina Kandelaki stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Who is the mastermind behind all these provocations? Of course, one person is Mikheil Saakashvili. He is a political criminal who, even without being on Georgian territory, continues to ruin Georgia.
He has been doing this since 2008. The June 20 incident in parliament certainly served as another point of no return. The Georgian authorities reacted mildly, which gave the radicals a feeling of impunity, so they took the next radical steps.
Why are these steps so radical? Because on July 18 in Strasbourg, this channel should be taken away from its beneficiary Saakashvili and given to its rightful owner, and this will end all anti-Russian propaganda on this channel.
Therefore, since Saakashvili understands that there are literally a few days left, he committed a crime, absolutely unacceptable behavior, because insulting the President of Russia on the air of a federal channel, insulting his parents, I consider not just hooliganism, I consider political hooliganism, which can cause irreversible processes in Georgia, and yesterday this was obvious, because people came to a spontaneous rally, people were horrified, Rustavi 2 operators refused to work on this channel.
Thank God, this rally ended peacefully, but, as you understand, Georgia in this sense is one step away from a clash between nationalities and people who want peace in Georgia, stabilization of relations, want to live and work, want Saakashvili to drown forever in the Bermuda Triangle history,” Kandelaki summarized.
Thank you!
