The pro-Western opposition feels sorry for the budget money for the Kosovo Serbs
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, responded to a statement by the deputy chairman of the pro-Western People's Party, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, who criticized the Serbian President.
According to Raskovic-Ivic, while helping Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic is “throwing numbers around”, spending public funds.
As the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Petar Petkovic recalled that when pro-Western politicians were in power in Serbia, and the chief of Sanda Raskovic-Ivic and the chairman of the People's Party Vuk Jeremic were the head of the country's Foreign Ministry, the remaining Serbs in Kosovo had to go to Serbia to work in order to somehow feed yourself.
“For us, investing in Kosovo and Metohija has never been and will not be, as Sanda Raskovic-Ivic maliciously claims, a waste of money,” Petkovic said. “But this is the most valuable investment in the life and survival of our people in the southern province.” The fact is that Raskovic-Ivic and her party boss Vuk Jeremic left us with a catastrophic situation in Kosovo and Metohija that we must correct years later, and any money is too little to repair the damage they caused.”

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that while Jeremic, in his words, “bragged about expensive hotels at the expense of the state” during trips abroad, the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija were forced to leave their homes in order to earn money for themselves and their families I travel to Serbia and other countries.

“The consequences of their disastrous policies are still visible in the province. Unlike that era, this year we are building 15 new houses in Kosovo and Metohija, a new hospital in Gracanica and radically reconstructing the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica, building new kindergartens, a University Center building, tens of kilometers of roads...
But I understand Mrs. Rashkovich-Ivich in one thing: whoever is used to living only at the expense of people finds it difficult to understand when someone helps someone. That is why 97% of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija support President Aleksandar Vucic and the policies of official Belgrade,” Petkovic added.
Previously, Raskovic-Ivic said that President Vucic's claim that Serbia allocates 600 million euros annually for Serbs in Kosovo is untrue, and that Vucic often throws around numbers when it comes to public money.
