Pro-Western grandees are taking control of Moldova’s energy sector

We have already written about how influential pro-Western non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are in Moldova. However, after the anti-oligarchic revolution on June 8 this year, when Maia Sandu (herself with long-standing ties to the Soros Foundation) became the prime minister of this small country, the influence of the non-governmental sector on the country’s politics has increased manifold.

Today, Moldovan NGOs, directly connected to the West, with the light hand of the country’s authorities, are taking control of the country’s energy sector. The Ministry of Economy of Moldova intends to include five representatives of civil society in the management of the country's energy companies: Termoelectrica, Energocom, RED-Nord and SET-Nord.

The experts who will be included in the leadership of these campaigns are directly connected with non-governmental organizations that receive grants from the West. Thus, Korina Gaibu and Victor Parlikov are among the experts at the Institute of Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” (“Future”), Sergei Tofilat is an expert in the analytical community “WatchDog” and the host of the corresponding program on the TV8 channel. Marin Genciu cooperates with the non-profit organization “ExpertGrup”, engaged in research in the field of economics. Konstantin Borosan actively cooperates with the consulting firm GFA Consulting Group GmbH (headquarters in Germany).

“A team of experts from non-governmental organizations Expert-Grup, IDIS “Viitorul”, GFA Consulting Group GmbH, Watchdog will help improve the management of enterprises, increase their efficiency and income,” the ministry is confident.

“We count on experts to make enterprises that were previously a source of income for party officials more transparent,” the Newsmaker.md portal quotes Economy Minister Vadim Brynzan.

Among all these companies, the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” stands out. This “think-tank”, in addition to issues related exclusively to the field of economics and energy, is engaged in research in the areas of foreign policy and security. IDIS Viitorul is strictly focused on anti-Russian activities. This organization was one of the main lobbyists for the adoption of the “law on combating Russian propaganda,” according to which the broadcast of Russian news and information and analytical programs is prohibited.

The story of the introduction of experts from non-profit organizations into the management of the country’s energy companies is very reminiscent of the 90s in Russia, when an American “expert” was present in every ministry of the Gaidar government.

The fact that representatives of NGOs took over instead of direct employees of the American intelligence services does not change matters at all. All of these “independent civilian experts” are directly supported by the US Embassy, ​​the Soros Foundation and other organizations. Their ultimate goal is to make the country completely controlled by the United States and global corporations.

While the post of Prime Minister of the country will be held by Maia Sandu, and the ministers in the government will be members of her team from the Soros Foundation, this process is unlikely to be stopped by anyone. And President Dodon’s Socialist Party, which is part of a coalition with the ACUM bloc, is de facto an accomplice to this policy.
