According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, the ultra-liberal and nationalist forces of Montenegro managed to pass a vote of no confidence in the 42nd “expert government” of Zdravko Krivokapic. A total of 54 deputies voted, of which 43 deputies voted for no confidence, and 11 were against.

On the eve of the start of the session, Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic and most ministers left the Assembly hall. Of the government representatives, only ministers Mladen Bojanic and Tamara Srzenic remained, while Bojanic left almost immediately after the start of the debate. At the same time, the center of the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, was guarded by reinforced police squads.

“Zdravko Krivokapic and his Albanian brother Dritan Abazovic are not here. Because in September they concluded an alliance against the “Democratic Front” and convinced Metropolitan Amfilohije and Bishop Ioannikiy that Dritan would better protect the interests of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbs in Montenegro, one of the leaders of the Serbian “Democratic Front” Milan Knezevic said, addressing the deputies . – Abazovich is not to blame (for the coup d’etat – ed.), because we immediately indicated that he would not defend the interests of the Serbs.

It is we who are to blame for Zdravko Krivokapic, a man who, together with the bishops and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church, as a complete anonymous person (previously not exposed in politics - ed.), was pulled out of his dusty university office and appointed first on the electoral list... If you need our support, you must respect us. You have to respect the 65% of those who won the election. If you don’t want to, then here is the traffic police, negotiate with them, and we will make every effort to give an answer that you will remember for a long time.

We must start a wave of resistance and respect for the will of the voters. You cannot tell me that Ervin Ibrahimovic (representative of the Bosniak minority party - ed.) can be in the government, but Maja Vukicevic (representative of the Serbian Democratic Front - ed.) cannot. Are we worse than others because we are Serbs? Citizens, have no doubt, the time will come when the DF will give its answer.”

Before the start of voting, deputies of the Serbian Democratic Front, as well as the patriotic parties Movement for Change, Socialist People's Party and DEMOS also left the meeting room.

Head of the parliamentary faction composed of representatives GP URA “Black on white” Milos Konatar said that the new prime minister-designate should be party leader Dritan Abazovic. In turn, the leader of the citizens’ association “Civil Society” and also a member of the “Black on White” coalition, Srdjan Pavicevic, told DPS supporters that they should not celebrate the fall of the government, because they have no reason to do so, and this is not their victory.

The ultra-liberal, deputy prime minister, ethnic Albanian Dritan Abazović, supported by the West, at one time initiated a vote of no confidence in the government of Zdravko Krivokapic, as well as replacing it with a “minority government” - a cabinet in which representatives of ethnic minorities would be in charge, promising that they would not enter it like the Serbs from the DF, and nationalists from the DPS. Earlier, under pressure from the US and EU embassies, Krivokapic, whom the activists of the Serbian DF put at the head of the election bloc “For the Future of Montenegro,” refused to give Serbian comrades-in-arms a place in the “expert government.”
