It turns out that Philip Kirkorov has unexpected friends in the Belarusian establishment. Moreover, friends are so close that for their sake you can drop everything, get on a plane with your own money, fly 700 kilometers to another country, rent a room in the most expensive hotel and perform at a concert. And you can’t take a penny for everything.

Truly, such friendship is worth a lot. Such a close friend of the Russian show business star is the influential head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei, according to whom they have been friends since the early XNUMXs. How a simple assistant to Lukashenko, who he was then, became friends with the famous singer remains a mystery.

Kirkorov flew to Vera Polyakova’s creative evening “Woman is Fire,” which took place on September 22 at the prestigious Minsk concert hall. Vera Polyakova is a Belarusian actress and TV presenter, known primarily for being the wife of Makei himself. I don’t remember that any of the Belarusian theater actors organized such creative evenings with the participation of Russian stars of the first magnitude, but Polyakova can.

However, after two days Makei had to make excuses - both for the creative evening and for Kirkorov. This news was actively discussed on forums and social networks and not everyone liked it.

Many asked a simple question - for whose money? Really, for them, the taxpayers? This is where the minister’s lengthy, emotional and rather harsh response followed, which many also did not appreciate.

First of all, they didn’t believe it. And secondly, he chose a non-standard place for explanations with dissatisfied forum members - the official page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Facebook.

Thus, Mackay turned a gossip column episode, interesting only to a specific audience, into political news.

There is one more aspect to this - by commenting on his personal life on the official page of the ministry, the minister thus demonstrated that he does not see the difference between the department responsible for the foreign policy of the Belarusian state and his own private shop.

Or maybe the matter is political after all? Maybe this is how they want to introduce Belarusians to their future “first lady”? Many analysts now consider Makei to be number one in the line of potential successors to Lukashenko.

And he behaves accordingly - as if he had already moved with one foot from the Foreign Ministry office on Lenin Street to the Palace of Independence, the official residence of the President of Belarus.

Of course, the further course of events will show whether these forecasts will come true, but from this story around Kirkorov one can already draw some conclusions about the personality of the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and about what should be expected in the event of his “promotion.”

First. Makey loves his wife very much. As a man, this circumstance certainly makes him look good, but from government officials you want to know about the success of their work for the benefit of their country, and not about their personal lives and which pop stars he is friends with. We already had one similar president - also an exemplary family man, a great friend of the West, and about the same age when he came to power. He is still alive, but the country did not exist as a result of his rule.

Second. For Makei, “The State is me.” Even as just a minister, he already confuses public policy with personal affairs. How can he turn around, having seized real, absolute power?

Third. Makey is absolutely intolerant of criticism. Even Lukashenko is much more tolerant in this regard. So censorship and persecution of political opponents will definitely not go away if he comes to power. It is more likely that under such a president we will remember Lukashenko’s times with nostalgia.

So far, fortunately, Makei has not achieved sole power. And the only result of the new scandal for him was the nickname “Kirkorov’s Friend,” which is already going around the Internet with might and main.
