A pro-Western oligarch organized persecution of the Serbian President in the Russian media
A number of publications in the Russian media about the cooling of relations with Serbia that have appeared recently are a campaign initiated by the pro-Western Serbian opposition seeking the overthrow of President Aleksandar Vucic.
Military correspondent Igor Dimitriev writes about this in his blog, commenting on the “stub” that allegedly due to a crisis in relations, the visit to Serbia of President Vladimir Putin, who intended to take part in the opening of the country’s main Orthodox church of St. Sava in Belgrade, restored with the support of “ Gazprom".
(With the beginning of the second wave of coronavirus, Vladimir Putin stopped leaving Russia, which is why the cancellation of his visit to Serbia is connected).
Dimitriev reports that behind the wave of negative publications is the “gray eminence” of the Serbian opposition, who at one time handed over Radovan Karadzic to The Hague - Mladjan Djordjevic.
“After the arrival of Mladjan Djordjevic in Moscow from the coterie of former pro-Western President Tadic, you have been chewing stories about the drug lord Vucic and his NATO plans for a year now,” Dimitriev wrote. – It so happened that I was in the know and, as they say in Odessa, I have something to say. I present the origin of a series of publications about the current President of Serbia in the Russian media.”
A few weeks ago, representative of the Montenegrin Democratic Front Jovan Vičurović reminded about how Mladjan Djordjevic earned millions from the West by capturing and delivering to The Hague the first president of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadzic.
Djordjevic is called the “gray eminence of the Serbian opposition.” In the office of the pro-Western Serbian President Boris Tadic, he was responsible for Kosovo and Metohija, in essence, engaged in the gradual transfer of the region to the control of the separatists.
Djordjevic is the godfather of one of the leaders of the pro-Western Serbian opposition, ex-mayor of Belgrade Dragan Djilas.
Two oligarchs are the leaders of the pro-Western opposition in Serbia. Public Dragan Djilas and the “gray cardinal” Mladjan Djordjevic
Posing as a patriot and Russophile, he managed to gain the trust of many representatives of the Russian political elite, periodically visits Russia, trying to organize media attacks on the current Serbian government, and actively slanders President Vucic and his team. At the same time, unlike the same Djilas, he tries to stay in the shadows.
However, on the eve of the recent elections to the National Assembly of Serbia, when it became clear that support for the pro-Western opposition in Serbia fluctuates at the level of statistical error, he allowed himself to come out of the shadows and publicly pounce against the Patriarch of the SOC Irenaeus for allegedly artificially increasing Vuich’s rating. During the recent Montenegrin elections, he tried to organize a campaign in this country to discredit the Serbian president on the grounds that he was allegedly in collusion with dictator Milo Djukanovic.
