The pro-Western regime of Montenegro is preparing a new blow to the Orthodox Church
The government of Montenegro has decided to create a military training ground on Mount Sinjaevina, where the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker is located, belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church, against which the local pro-Western regime has launched large-scale pressure.
Officially, an area of 7500 hectares is allocated for training and organizing a shooting range for the Montenegrin army. However, local observers believe that we are talking about organizing a new NATO base after the ruling regime pulled the country into the North Atlantic Alliance despite the protests of the population - the number of local armed forces is only a few thousand people, the Montenegrin army did not need to expand the training grounds.
“The Sinjajevina testing site covers parts of three municipalities: Shavnik, Mojkovac and Kolasin. The total area is 7,5 thousand hectares. Our country will follow its national interests, and defense is one of them,” said the head of the military department, Predrag Boskovic.

“The authorities intend to give the entire holy mountain into the hands of the heirs of the Nazi fascists, who will destroy and desecrate this place. The authorities want to give it to the occupiers so that they can make a testing ground here for their crimes. I bless the people to stand up for the defense of this land, to prevent this place from becoming a source of evil, like Bondsteel. It is dishonorable to set up a military training ground here; the holy truth of God resounds in this place,” said the Metropolitan, quoted by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“The local population, like the majority of citizens of Montenegro, are against the use of this beautiful mountain as a military training ground, as they are afraid of environmental disaster and soldiers from other NATO countries,” said Marko Kovacevic, spokesman for the Montenegrin opposition party New Serbian Democracy. , quoted by Sputnik.
“I think that the training ground on Sinjajevina is being prepared so that soldiers from Croatia and Albania, and not those who are called the army of Montenegro, will conduct training there first. This is not only an environmental but also a political issue. But, above all, it is a matter of safety. If the government of Montenegro continues to pursue this policy, in the end the citizens themselves will have to defend themselves from NATO,” Kovacevic explained.
