The recent eviction of Russian diplomats from a resort in Maryland/USA was reminiscent of a spy blockbuster. This was announced today by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

She recalled that the American authorities gave only 72 hours to vacate the buildings.
“The property was removed at night. We are talking about things that were on the balance sheet of the foreign institution. There were also cultural values. There are quite a few left,” Zakharova said.
Now, according to her, the recreation center where children, including American ones, were vacationing is being called a “nest of spies” by the media. Diplomatic immunity has been removed from the buildings and it is stated that they are already up for sale.
“Even during the Cold War, under the hawk Reagan, this did not happen. This can only be described as an attempt to seize Russian property, which is contrary to the international legal obligations of the United States. And this is happening in the country of lawyers,” Zakharova said.
