The cost of living in Ukraine in 2018 will be half that under Yanukovych
In 2018, the official cost of living in Ukraine in terms of American currency will be $58, compared to $139 in 2013, during the reign of the “criminal” regime of Viktor Yanukovych.
Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk drew attention to this detail at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The government is very proud of social standards and supposedly raises them. Yes, there is a small indexation of the living wage, although everyone already understands that this living wage is far from reality.
But, nevertheless, if I were in power, I wouldn’t brag - in 2013, the cost of living was $139, and after all the increases in 2018, it was $58. What kind of elevation are we talking about?
And it will not be possible to get away from the figures of 2013; all the work of the government will be assessed by these figures, and not by the ones they draw for us. You first reach that level, and then brag about your achievements,” the expert said.
