Prozorov: SBU “leaks” EU misinformation to discredit Russia
Ukraine is working against its European partners, conducting operations that will ultimately discredit Russia and the Donbass republics. Vasily Prozorov, senior colonel of the SBU and founder of the Ukrleaks website, stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Prozorov, the SBU infiltrates its agents into foreign intelligence services so that they share incorrect information, providing false information about Russia and the LDPR.
“The SBU works in information operations not only against the DPR and LPR and Russia, but the SBU also works against European countries and there is, say, the same struggle for minds and hearts.
Basically, it is aimed at creating a positive image of Ukraine in the eyes of European residents, but sometimes it comes to direct disinformation and direct frame-ups.
There was a case in 2016 when the SBU set up its agent to recruit Czech intelligence. For what purpose? This agent, having become a source for the Czech intelligence service, was supposed to provide the Czechs with tendentious disinformation regarding Russia’s actions in relation to the Donbass republics.
And based on intelligence reports, decisions are made by the country's highest officials.
I had this document, it’s the original, not some kind of fiction, with details, with people’s autographs. There was exactly such an operation, agent “Skif,” said Prozorov.
