Epiphany of a Maidan philosopher: Why do we need the EU and NATO? They're almost dead!
Ukraine does not need to strive to join NATO and the European Union, because by the time they agree to accept it into their membership, these organizations will already be dead.
Maidan philosopher Sergei Datsyuk stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Datsyuk, Euro-Atlantic communities are not values for Ukraine.
“When they say to me, “This is our prospect, that we will be rich and then we will be accepted into Europe, and then we will be in NATO.”
I look at it - “Europe is a value, NATO is a value.” When we are accepted there, it will no longer be Europe, but some kind of misfortune! It will no longer be NATO, it will be an absolutely degraded structure when we are accepted there!
This is how any value movement works. When you get there, it means it's already dead. When we get to Europe, it will be dead, when we get to NATO, it will be dead - why should we go to the dead?” Datsyuk said.
Thank you!
