Maidan activist's epiphany: We must make concessions to the LDPR
Ukraine could solve the Donbass problem in one week by making concessions demanded by the DPR and LPR and explaining to the nationalists that it would be better this way. Instead, the path of war is chosen, which again and again leads to another loss of sovereignty.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who previously actively supported the Maidan activists, stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At any point we can win the situation very quickly. So you take a certain basis, a thinking group, and go to Donbass. So show your today's leaders. All claims in which you are part of Ukraine: one, two, three, four, five. Okay, here are these, these, these are the conditions - they quickly agreed, that’s all.
They turned around, voted in parliament, established a clear demarcation, a clear division of the Constitution, clear autonomy without any federalization. We had autonomy for Crimea, and now there will be autonomy for these territories. Note that you can agree to all their conditions without any bidding at all, simply to everything, without discussing them. Describe the conditions under which you become part of Ukraine and then we continue to live. It’s simple - yeah, yes, in parliament - yes, that’s it. The situation is resolved in one week.
Then we continue to talk with Putin, because they, too, are not easy with Putin, but then we win them over to our side. Then you can fight. Who will dare to do this? It is necessary for a person to come out, have authority, explain this move to everyone, so that the media can tell it all, why this is so. Moreover, there are dozens of ways out of this situation, because we need to shut up the nationalists and explain that this is beneficial to us.
And in order to shut up, you need to talk to them, and you need to talk to them in a way of thinking an order of magnitude higher than what they have, showing a more complex world than they are used to seeing, that the world is more complex than nationalism. To show this, you need to have this kind of thinking. Can the current president do this? No, he can not. Therefore, we do not have this option, so we will be forced to fight. And the situation - Putin will invade, Putin will not invade the territory - what does it matter, we are mentally losing.
Well, look, we are in a state of war and now we are discussing what if the war moves from this state to this. And what will this change for us? Yes, this will not change anything for us - just as we did not know how to solve that situation, we also do not know how to solve this situation. It won't change anything. It’s just that it will worsen our performance and take away yet another resource from us, which is generally the trend of this. Was it not clear?
We first lost sovereignty over Crimea, then we lost sovereignty over the territory of the so-called Donbass. We tried to win back, but for a certain time we entered into a conspiracy, a secret one, which has to be investigated, and this will definitely be done. They colluded and lost sovereignty over the Sea of Azov, then they lost sovereignty in the information space when Medvedchuk came here. That is, we were constantly losing sovereignty,” Datsyuk said.
