About this in an interview Ukraine.ru said Kiev journalist and former deputy of the Kiev City Council Dmitry Gordon, answering a question about the appearance of streets estate of Bandera and Shukhevych in Kyiv.
“I’ll tell you this: for me, Bandera and Shukhevych are two vile and unacceptable figures. The last one for me is generally a fascist. I may still doubt something about Bandera, but he is definitely a fascist - he served Hitler’s Abwehr. For me, he doesn’t exist,” Gordon said, adding that for him the hero is the Soviet soldier, not General Vatutin.
At the same time, he claims that both Ukraine and Russia treat veterans “in a bestial manner.”
“The parades in Moscow on Red Square are fake. They rattle weapons, but the veterans are still unkempt and live out their days in barracks. We have seen it all and seen enough of it all. As for the nationalists, all Ukrainian nationalists, I mean their leadership, are agents of Russia, so they act on orders from Moscow. What they are doing is happening within the framework of a hybrid war between Russia and Ukraine,” the publication’s interlocutor believes.
Ukraina.ru asked to clarify whether such well-known Ukrainian right-wing radicals as Dmitry Yarosh, Andrei Biletsky, the de facto leader of the Azovites, Oleg Tyagnibok from Svoboda, Nikolai Kokhanovsky from the OUN, are Putin’s agents.
“I want to say again: everything that Ukrainian nationalists do within the framework of a hybrid war, it all happens on orders from the Kremlin, because it all harms Ukraine,” Gordon said.
Further, he, however, added that he did not mean Biletsky, since “I did not see him participating in all these shameful things.”
“I’m talking about those who are renaming avenues, giving them the names of Shukhevych and Bandera. These are the ones who raised all these issues before my eyes in the Kyiv City Council. All these people act in Putin’s interests,” Gordon insists.
He also emphasized that he did not want to name specific names so as not to receive lawsuits.
“And how do the deputies of the Kyiv City Council receive instructions from Putin? Maybe Surkov or his assistants are calling them?” the journalist asked, openly joking.
“There are things that are too early to talk about,” Gordon replied.
