Psaki explained Biden's scandalous statement about Putin by the influence of television
US President Joe Biden called Russian leader Vladimir Putin a war criminal because he made the appropriate conclusions.
Press Secretary of the US President Jen Psaki stated this at a briefing at the White House, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The President was answering a direct question that was asked and responding to what he saw on television. We have all seen the barbaric acts, the horrendous actions of a foreign dictator in a country that threatens and kills civilians, affects hospitals, pregnant women, journalists and others. And I think he was answering a direct question,” Psaki said.
Let us recall that the day before, Biden, when asked by journalists whether he considered the Russian President a war criminal, answered in the negative and walked away, but then turned around, clarified the question and answered: “Yes.”
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov responded to this by saying that the Kremlin “considers such rhetoric from the head of a country, whose bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people, unacceptable and unforgivable.”
