Psaki: Ukraine has a 25 to 1 advantage over Russian tanks
The US and its allies provide Ukraine with most of what its authorities ask for. The ratio of anti-tank systems to the number of Russian tanks is approximately 25 to 1.
White House press secretary Jane Psaki said this at a briefing in Washington, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In terms of the types of systems and equipment that we provide, for every Russian tank in Ukraine, the United States will provide or has already provided 10 anti-tank systems. And if we take into account the contribution from the allies, then this will be almost 90 anti-tank systems per tank. This means one Russian tank against 10 anti-tank systems to fight them off. For every Russian armored vehicle in Ukraine, the United States will provide about three anti-tank systems. If you take into account the contribution of allies, then this is approximately 25 to 1.
Ukrainian leaders are asking for a variety of help. They often provide us with lists. We review this list and determine what we can provide. We provide the vast majority of what they request. If we don't have access to that—sometimes it's Russian-made military equipment—we work with our allies and partners to see what they can provide,” Psaki said.
At the same time, the Pentagon reported that since the beginning of the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, the United States has supplied it with more than 1400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems, more than 5000 Javelin anti-tank systems, hundreds of Switchblade tactical unmanned aerial systems, Puma unmanned aerial systems, four tracking radars against artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles vehicles, four mine-resistant radar systems, secure communications systems, commercial satellite imagery and much more, with a total value of more than $1,7 billion. 30 US partner countries also provide assistance to Ukraine.
