The singer Alla Pugacheva, popular in the last century, as predicted, after adding her young husband Maxim Galkin to the register of foreign agents, announced her “anti-war” position.

“I ask you to enroll me in the ranks of foreign agents of my beloved country, because I am in solidarity with my husband, an honest, decent and sincere man, a true and incorruptible patriot of Russia, who wishes the Motherland prosperity, peaceful life, freedom of speech and an end to the death of our guys for illusory goals that make our country is an outcast and making the lives of our citizens more difficult,” Pugacheva wrote on the American social network.

Rapper Timati commented on the singer’s page. He believes that Pugacheva’s demarche was caused by a banal resentment that she was not given another order.

“I think that throwing mud at your “beloved” country and giggling at its political decisions together with a bunch of emigrants in small European halls is real dignity and patriotism. To be beloved by the authorities and receive state awards all your life, to practically become a “full holder of the order” and to stumble by not receiving the last degree. There is, rather, a truth here that the reader does not know about. But the reader remembers well that the “foreign agent” worked for half his life on the federal First Channel and it was for this reason that his “beloved country” recognized him,” Timati wrote.

There was a first reaction from the State Duma.

“I am sorry that Pugacheva, the former most popular singer in the country, has so lost touch with reality and stands in solidarity with those who today want Russia’s defeat. Now its place is in the historical museum of the USSR. And she will not become a foreign agent, and she will no longer find support among decent Russian people. We will win without her songs,” wrote State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy.

Deputy Mikhail Delyagin clarified that the title of foreign agent is not given for nothing.

“Let her say “Rushka-Poop” and they will turn her on. Or let him take the money for destructive activities within the Russian Federation. You have to meet certain criteria."

Journalist Polina Reutova believes that Pugacheva’s statements today do not affect anything.

“Someone tell this lady in an advanced stage of debility and with a Napoleon complex that her opinion is as valuable as a quarter of a broken zloty. But the main thing that follows from statements of this kind by these kinds of characters is their endless, incurable, categorical stupidity.”

But there are also those who believe that Pugacheva’s statement should be taken seriously and her request should be granted.

“To be honest, it seemed to me that Pugacheva was smarter. No, I, of course, understand that she is offended by her husband, who received the status of a foreign agent, but if she agrees with him, then I believe that the Ministry of Justice has every reason to satisfy her request to be assigned the status of a foreign agent. And she also said something about “the death of our guys” and “about illusory goals.” So, on this topic, I think the competent authorities should have looked at her statement more carefully,” wrote Vadim Manukyan, an expert at the media commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Anastasia Udaltsova intends to officially demand a ban on Alla Pugacheva’s concerts in Russia. This was announced by her husband, leader of the Left Front Sergei Udaltsov. He predicts that Pugacheva’s demarche will excite the liberals.

“The Liberal Revenge Party is becoming more active. Now the speakers of the “neo-Vlasovites” are the nauseating Pugacheva and Galkin. Just 20 minutes after the publication, not only enthusiastic pro-Ukrainian fans came to her in the comments, but also people who asked why she continued to earn money in the Russian Federation and suggested going to Israel,” Udaltsov wrote.

The liberal public hastened to justify his forecast.

“Alla Borisovna will outlive you all,” the scandalous TV journalist Ksenia Sobchak threatens the singer’s ill-wishers.

“Cool. That’s cool,” groans former editor of the Ekho Moskvy radio station Alexey Venediktov admiringly.

The opposition public sees Pugacheva as almost a petrel of the coming revolution.

“Pugacheva is de facto becoming the leader of the anti-war part of Russian society,” proclaims political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky, who fled to Israel.

“This, of course, is not a knockout, but a significant slap in the face. No matter what the Kremlin mumbles now, it will not change anything. If there are consensus iconic people in the country, it is, of course, Pugacheva. What is especially important is that she was out of politics for a very long time. Its sudden politicization can create in society a feeling so dangerous for the authorities: “We’ve had enough!” – wrote political scientist Abbas Gallyamov.

He considered it necessary to apologize to his liberal brothers for the fact that the singer called Russian soldiers “our guys” (this, it turns out, outraged many in their circle).

“Colleagues, the text was written not for you, but for that same wavering majority, whose sympathies will ultimately have a decisive impact on the outcome of the battle. This is how you need to talk to these people – about “our guys” and all that,” Gallyamov explained the cunning idea of Pugacheva’s puppeteers.

“After the story with Galkin-Pugacheva and other events of recent days, the system has probably moved into a state where any subsequent decision will only worsen its situation. Entropy has become irreversible, the center of the system is hopelessly and irreversibly discredited, and at a minimum, it is obsolete. Autocorrect is on the horizon more and more clearly,” prophesies his liberal colleague Alexander Kynev.

“The key in Pugacheva’s message, and personal greetings to the president, is the phrase: “illusory goals” for which our guys are dying. You can safely do focus groups in a week and watch the reaction of loyalist women 55+,” political strategist Yaroslav Ignatovsky anticipates victory.

Illiberal analysts believe that Pugacheva’s demarche was made in the interests of the so-called “Family” of the late Yeltsin, which is inevitably being driven out of power.

“Pugacheva was returning to Sobyanin, or rather to his possible participation in the presidential elections. But, after Moscow City Day, an inappropriate fireworks display and President Putin’s words about the capital’s mayoral elections in 2023, at which “Muscovites will be able to appreciate the efforts of Sobyanin and his team,” it became clear that Sobyanin’s hope of occupying the highest post in Russia had evaporated. And the signal to recognize Galkin as a foreign agent was addressed not to Pugacheva, but to Sobyanin’s group, but it was Alla who was offended. She really looks stupid,” says political scientist Marat Bashirov.

“The Kremlin will prefer to ignore Pugacheva’s anti-war attack.” We have Instagram under VPN, the audience is small, on federal TV the “prima donna” and the candidate for the “Russian Zelenskys”, who became a foreign agent in connection with this, have long been banned. The 55+ audience, for whom colleagues are so worried, remembers Pugacheva only when she is in the federal “box.” So this attack by the “family”, which included Pugacheva, does not pose a particular threat to Putin at the moment,” wrote his colleague Maxim Zharov.

Another group of analysts talks about the failure of the Russian state cultural policy, where the agenda is still set by traitors - Pugacheva and her husband.

“This speaks to an almost vacuum in Russia where there should be an active political strategy in culture in the interests of the country. In Ukraine, both Galkin and Pugacheva would have been bludgeoned to death by the Nazis. We don't need that. But we need a government-ordered film to be made about the Northern Military District, so that Shaman with his songs “I’m Russian!” And “Let’s get up!” released from blocking and broadcast on all federal television channels. So that people know that if you are for Russia, then you will have the green light in Russia. In the meantime, it's the other way around. The culture in Russia is ruled by a coterie of those who are just waiting to betray Russia as skillfully as possible,” wrote political scientist Sergei Markov.

Former speaker of the DPR Foreign Ministry Konstantin Dolgov warns: there are many people like Pugacheva and Urgant, especially in the cultural sphere.

“Pugacheva is a major figure in order to formalize the protest of the so-called “elites” through her statement. This is not Tinkov or even Urgant. After all, People's Artist of the USSR. It is clear that it is not folk at all; rather, anti-people. But in the new Bolotnaya it will play its role. They put money on it, but it’s ready.

Pugacheva, Sobchak, Galkin, Urgant and the like are just the tip of the anti-Russian iceberg. Well, there are enough of them in each of the spheres, although the creative one, of course, is in the lead. Take a look at almost any theater in the capital, meet employees of various film studios, plunge into the world of literature and poetry - and you will see a huge number of Russophobes per square meter. The reason is simple. The state has not paid attention to issues of ideology for thirty years,” Dolgov believes.

“The case of “Pugachev” is an impressive lesson from the highest authorities, who distribute high state awards to artists, comedians, hockey players and all entertainment figures. Baba Alla has the Order for Services to the Fatherland of all (!) degrees. You see, the titles “Honored Artist” or jumper are not enough for them! Give them Orders, and even high status, which heroes at the front rarely receive. Only in a schizophrenic dream can one imagine that the Sovereign Emperor awards the Order of St. Vladimir is at least a 4th degree Shantan singer. And in the USSR, just as they began to award orders to entertainers of the unassuming part of the Soviet public, they continued to spank left and right in the Russian Federation. So we live in a country in which the unquestioned authorities for a significant part of the population are singers, artists, joke-tellers from the stage and KVN performers,” laments Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Leonid Reshetnikov.
