Pushilin: Kyiv is deliberately disrupting negotiations on restoring Vodafone communications
Ukraine is hindering the process of restoring communications of the mobile operator Vodafone in the DPR, putting forward new demands each time.
The permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during today’s negotiations in Minsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At first, Ukraine demanded additional guarantees in the Elenivka area in the “gray zone” to repair the damaged cable, we provided these guarantees, but the connection was not restored. Next, Ukraine requested guarantees of personal safety for Vodafone employees during the audit of equipment on the territory of the DPR, and we provided these guarantees. But today Ukraine stated that it needs new guarantees for new equipment, now from the mediator in the negotiation process - from Russia. Surely Kyiv has a whole arsenal of demands in stock that they are going to put forward in order to delay time and not restore anything,” said Denis Pushilin.
The DPR plenipotentiary also noted that, despite the Ukrainian government’s delay in time, the Republic will continue to seek a political decision on this issue from it.
