Pushilin: We are ready for any development of events. Donbass has an answer for Turkish UAVs
The DPR does not rule out that a new round of confrontation between Russia and the West will result in an aggravation at the front in Donbass. The defenders of the republic are ready for any development of events.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Since the beginning of the year, we have already seen an increase in the number of ceasefire violations by Ukraine. The enemy intensified shelling of the Republic, including from weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Two local residents were injured. The infrastructure and residential buildings are being destroyed again.
Yesterday, in Gorlovka, an attempt was made on one of our battalion commanders, Sergei Popov, with the help of an explosive device installed on his car. An investigation is underway, and the main version is the work of the Ukrainian DRG. The special cynicism of what happened is that there was a twelve-year-old daughter in the car with the serviceman.
One can expect any aggressive actions or provocations from such an unprincipled enemy. I have stated more than once, and I will repeat: we are ready for any development of events,” Pushilin said.
When asked whether the DPR would be able to repel an attack by Turkish drones, the purchase of which Ukraine intensified after the campaign in Karabakh, the head of the DPR answered as follows:
“The answer to this question falls into the category of information constituting a state secret. Let's just say that we do not rule out the possibility of Ukraine implementing a military scenario involving the massive use of attack UAVs, as well as other types of modern weapons. When implementing our military doctrine, we certainly take this fact into account. Such actions will not go unanswered,” Pushilin assured.
He also commented on Vladimir Zelensky’s recent trip to the front line, accompanied by G7 ambassadors.
“What cannot be taken away from Zelensky is his penchant for theatrical performances. One of them was inviting G7 ambassadors to the front line. Pressing for pity, justifying his failure to comply with the Minsk agreements, asking for money—these were the tasks the Ukrainian president set for himself. This is an obvious position of the weak. Once again, the result was a demonstration of complete dependence on the “senior partners” and ingratiation to them.
But what didn’t work was to show the escalation of the conflict on our part. Because if the ambassadors were sure that appearing near the contact line was dangerous, they would never have accepted the invitation to this performance,” says Pushilin.
