Pushilin awarded the fighters of the regiment that thundered throughout the Donbass
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin congratulated the soldiers of the Separate Kramatorsk Commandant Regiment on the 5th anniversary of its founding.
Also, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the DPR presented state awards to the personnel of the regiment.
“Today your regiment celebrates its first anniversary - five years since its founding. Your unit began its history long before its official formation, in April 2014. There are a lot of exploits behind you. This is the defense of Slavyansk, the defense and liberation of other cities - Donetsk, Torez, Shakhtersk, Snezhny, the liberation of the Saur-Mogila memorial complex. We have something to stand for, something to protect, something to strive for. We need to protect our land, our families, our relatives and friends. Strive for a better life and integration with Russia,” Pushilin said in his ceremonial speech.
Officially, the Separate Kramatorsk Commandant Regiment was formed on October 15, 2014, but its history began earlier.
Many servicemen who later became regiment officers began their combat career from the first days of the war in Donbass. They were the first to enter Slavyansk and fought for the liberation of the city, held the defense in Donetsk, fought in Torez, Snezhny, Ilovaisk, and also took part in the battles for the Saur-Mogila memorial complex and the Donetsk airport.
