Pushilin: We know what Zelensky is up to
The Donbass republics are aware that as the socio-economic situation in Ukraine worsens, the risk of an offensive by Ukrainian armed forces increases.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on the Rossiya TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine, when it enters into some kind of clinch internally, or when some external agenda changes, of course, it always tries to use such an opportunity as an aggravation, a provocation on the line of contact. Therefore, now we must be even more prepared, because we see a politically difficult period in Ukraine, we see economic insolvency, we predict that one of the options for the development of events will be an aggravation in the Donbass,” Pushilin said.
At the same time, publicist and former Ukrainian political prisoner Igor Kimakovsky believes that an attempt to attack at the front could further worsen the situation inside Ukraine, since the assault on Donetsk would result in colossal losses for the Ukrainian group.
“In 18, the General Staff of Ukraine made calculations regarding losses only in the Donetsk direction. They have already said that in the first three days they could lose up to 12 thousand personnel. Ukraine today will definitely not digest this,” Kimakovsky said.
