Pushilin: there will be no new wave of mobilization, only volunteers
The Russian leadership is not preparing the next waves of mobilization to turn the situation around in the Northern Military District.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said this at the “What kind of Ukraine do we need” forum, which takes place in Moscow, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Pushilin, the basis of the army should be volunteers and contract soldiers.
“Discussion and discussion on the platforms available to me - even this issue is not touched upon. Nothing about it: neither the second nor the third wave of mobilization.
I’ll tell you that we have corps, the 1st corps in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the 2nd corps in the Lugansk People’s Republic, its main backbone is volunteers, contract soldiers. That is why now we see their work, the result.
I think this should be the main emphasis. Only a contract, only volunteers - this is the basis of our future victory,” said Pushilin.
