Pushilin explained that Ukraine, by fighting SP-2, is making gas more expensive for itself
Countering Nord Stream 2, Kyiv increases the cost of gas on the international market and aggravates own energy crisis.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nobody could have come up with anything better for external actors than to fight Nord Stream on the Ukrainian side. Look what they are doing - they are opposing Nord Stream 2, and taking into account the fact that they stupidly interrupted direct gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine, at normal prices for their own citizens, they are also contributing to an increase in spot prices. And, in fact, they make gas more expensive for themselves,” the head of the young state noted.
“But what is another paradox - when they oppose Nord Stream 2, they are not thinking about Ukraine. And it’s not about Ukraine remaining a transit country. They act to please the United States, which benefits from supplying liquefied gas,” Pushilin concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they stated that the goal of aggravating the situation in Donbass for Ukraine is provoking Russia to retaliate. This will allow Kyiv to once again accuse Moscow of aggression and may prevent the launch of Nord Stream 2.
