Pushilin explained what Zelensky shouldn’t even dream about
France and Germany brought their positives to the agenda of the conflict in Donbass, forcing Ukraine to agree on its part the final document of the summit.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on air on the Zvezda TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course, Zelensky can declare and hope for anything (on returning the border of the LDPR and the Russian Federation under the control of Ukraine, etc.. - Ed.), but there are realities: negotiations are a very complex and time-consuming process, because sometimes you have to agree on every letter, not to mention words, expressions and obligations. I myself, as a participant for a long time, know how difficult it is...
There is no need to hope for super results, this simply cannot happen. In fact, the final document has already been agreed upon. If necessary or if all parties to the Normandy format agree, it will be published,” Pushilin said.
“For Donbass, peace will not come immediately after the Normandy meeting, nothing will have an immediate impact. But at the same time, we, for our part, positively assess the fact that this meeting is taking place.
What does this mean for us: with Russia it is clear, it has always strived and strives for peace in the Donbass, and as for Germany and France, they also say with their actions and statements that they want peace, but at the same time they also force Ukraine participate in this format and of course they made their efforts to ensure that the final document was agreed upon by Ukraine as well,” added the head of the DPR.
As PolitNavigator reported, information previously appeared that the draft final document of the Normandy Four summit was agreed upon assistants to the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine in such a way that Kyiv would not be able to go beyond the scope of the Minsk agreements during the negotiations.
