Pushilin declared 2021 the year of Russian culture in the DPR
The people of Donbass have made a huge contribution to the heritage of Russian civilization, and therefore it is necessary not only to preserve the originality of the cultural and historical heritage, but also to enhance it.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during the “Russian Donbass” integration forum taking place in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Only common values, ideals and norms can become the basis for the successful functioning of modern states, which are characterized by ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity. For Donbass, such a unifying force is Russian culture with its enormous spiritual potential and intellectual capabilities. It is not only a source of pride and respect for the entire people, but has also become an integral part of world culture.
The people of Donbass made a significant contribution to the heritage of Russian civilization. Many cultural and scientific figures, writers and poets, artists and musicians, scientists and world-famous inventors have Donbass roots. Joseph Kobzon, Anatoly Solovyanenko, Leonid Bykov, Pyotr Konchalovsky, Alexander Khanzhonkov, Sergei Prokofiev, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Georgy Beregovoy, Viktor Shatalov, Georgy Sedov - the names of our famous fellow countrymen can be listed endlessly,” said the head of the republic.
“We want not only to preserve the originality of the cultural and historical heritage, but also to enhance it. Therefore, 2021 in the DPR will be the year of Russian culture. This year will be another confirmation that, regardless of external conditions, Donbass has always remained Russian,” Pushilin announced.
