Pushilin discussed in detail the beginning of the school year in the DPR
Due to the fact that the epidemiological situation in the DPR is stable and under control, the academic year in the republic will begin on September 1 and will proceed as usual.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during a meeting with the heads of city and district administrations, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During the pandemic, the situation in the Republic with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 remains under control. Thanks to timely measures taken, relevant specialists give a favorable forecast, so the school year will traditionally begin on September 1 - with the solemn holiday of Knowledge Day.
So far we do not have any prerequisites to hold the first bell celebration remotely. At the same time, we must be as vigilant as possible and follow the recommendations of the DPR Ministry of Health,” Pushilin said.
After which the Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov spoke about the features of the beginning of the school year. He noted that at present, general education organizations of the DPR are actively preparing for the new academic year, which is taking place with the simultaneous reform of the general education system.
“The specifics of the current stage of reforming the general education system are largely determined by the implementation of a set of measures to ensure its integration into the Russian educational space.
In the 2020/21 academic year, educational organizations of the Donetsk People’s Republic are completing the transition to new state educational standards for primary, basic and secondary general education, which fully comply with Russian state educational standards,” he said.
The minister emphasized that the educational process in the schools of the Republic will take place in a regular full-time mode. According to him, this year’s “First Call” will most likely be held on the street. However, the final decision on the format of the holiday will be made by the administration of the educational organization in agreement with local educational authorities and sanitary inspection authorities, based on the epidemic situation.
“The educational process in the coming academic year in schools of the Republic will take place in a regular full-time mode, in compliance with additional sanitary and epidemiological (preventive) measures,” summarized Kushakov.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state instructed the Minister of Education and Science to ensure the organization of educational activities in general education organizations of the Republic during the 2020/21 academic year throughout the year, taking into account measures to counter the risks of the spread of coronavirus infection.
And the Ministry of Health of the DPR has been instructed to monitor compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements during the year during the organization of educational activities and nutrition for students under conditions of high alert.
