Pushilin awarded Makeyevka the honorary title of City of Labor Valor
A festive event was held in Makeyevka on the occasion of City Day, which on September 11 marked its 330th anniversary.

The event was attended by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin.
“Dear friends, let me congratulate you on the 330th anniversary of the city! This age is evidence that Makeyevka is one of the oldest cities in Donbass. I congratulate us all on this.
These are not exactly easy times, there are a lot of difficulties, but you, the residents of Makeyevka, are working, taking care of your hometown. The future for Makeevka will be bright. I'm just sure of this. Because we want this for ourselves, for our children, for our descendants. It is important for us to feel that we, being residents of Makeyevka, remember our city wherever we are. We know how many personnel Makeyevka provides for the Donetsk People's Republic.
Today I am pleased to present well-deserved awards to our workers. And I want to congratulate Makeevka on being awarded the title “City of Labor Valor,” said Denis Pushilin and handed the corresponding decree to the head of the Makeevka city administration, Sergei Goloshchapov.
After which, for a high level of professionalism and significant personal contribution to the social and economic development of the city, six work teams of Makeyevka were awarded diplomas and thanks from the head of the DPR.
For professional achievements and in connection with the 90th anniversary of the printed publication “Makeevsky Rabochiy DPR”, current and former employees of the newspaper were awarded medals “For Labor Valor” and thanks from the Head of the Republic. The publication's staff was awarded a certificate of honor from the Head of the DPR.
In addition, for the courage and heroism shown in the performance of his official duty to protect the republic, Dmitry Rudoy was posthumously awarded the “St. George Cross” IV degree insignia. Denis Pushilin presented the award to the mother of the deceased serviceman.
After this, six families of military personnel, including those killed, received keys to apartments from the head of state.
