Pushilin grounded Kiselyov: For Donbass, language is the language of murderers, invaders, occupiers
In the DPR, the Ukrainian language is treated as the language of an invader and occupier who came to kill civilians. Anyone who wants to keep it needs to live for a couple of days in areas of Donetsk that are regularly shelled by Ukraine.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said this at the “What kind of Ukraine do we need” forum, which takes place in Moscow, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Ukrainian language – there are a lot of discussions going on right now. I'll tell you, for Donetsk this is a language that is unpleasant.
When many begin to pass by this, I will tell you - we never liked it in Donetsk, because for us it was our native language - Russian.
We are not ashamed of this, why should we now deceive ourselves that we suddenly began to treat him well?
Dear friends, since the 14th year they have been killing us in this language, giving orders against our people, including women and the elderly. Therefore, we have the right to treat him negatively - I say this mildly.
All bright supporters of the language and all positive trends - I propose to live literally two days, no longer necessary, in the Kiev, Kuibyshev, Petrovsky districts. And then tell us how to treat the Ukrainian language well,” said Pushilin.
Shortly before his speech, TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov stated that Russia considers the Ukrainian language and embroidered shirts as part of its culture.
