Pushilin told when the Stirol plant will start working, child benefits will be increased and quarantine will end
During his visit to Gorlovka, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin held a meeting with city residents, during which he answered pressing questions.
This was reported in the press service of the head of the republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The meeting took place on the playground restored after the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the Annunciation Church on the territory of the Stroitel housing estate. It was also attended by the head of the city administration, Ivan Prikhodko.
Gorlovka residents were interested in issues related to the start of the school year, an increase in social benefits for children, the resumption of work at Stirol and others.
When asked whether the quarantine imposed in schools due to the pandemic will end by September 1 of this year, the head of state replied that he expects normal school to begin, but everything will depend on the epidemiological situation in the republic.
“As the father of daughters, I want to say that everyone has suffered with distance education. If the situation with COVID does not change, we have every chance of a normal September 1st. I personally count on this,” said the head of the republic.
On the issue regarding the increase in social benefits for children, Pushilin noted that the immediate plans include bringing the size of social benefits, pension payments and salaries of public sector employees to the level of the Rostov region.
“We are planning the next increase from January 1,” the head of the republic emphasized.
Regarding the resumption of work at Stirol, the head of state said that this issue is related to the problem of ensuring security: the risk of an environmental disaster due to shelling of the front-line city by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is too great.
A question was also asked about the opening of children's health facilities on the territory of the DPR.
“This year we are especially acutely faced with the fact that our children have nowhere to rest. Due to the coronavirus, it was not possible to send children for health treatment to different regions of Russia. The task is already to change the situation in Sedovo. It is necessary to carry out repairs, reconstruction, and restoration work at enterprises. There are also places near other reservoirs where we can develop children's recreation infrastructure. We can't do without this. We will work,” summed up the head of the republic.
